A delegation from the American embassy visited KAPS

Vushtrri, July 12.2023 – The Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS) was visited today by a delegation from the United States of America embassy in Kosovo called the Southern Balkan Civilian Military Support Element of the US Army.


The delegation in question, which was headed by Alexandra Erickson, Bilateral Affairs Officer of the American embassy in Pristina, met with the Acting Director General of the Kosovo Academy for Public Security Kastritot Jashari, the Acting Director General of the Emergency Management Agency (EMA) Shefki Abdullahu and other officials of the Academy.


 The purpose of the visit was to support the Academy in providing training and certification of emergency medical nurses.

 

During the meeting, there was a discussion about cooperation and mutual partnership between the Civil Military Support Element of the Southern Balkans of the US Army, the Academy and the EMA.

 

The Acting General Director of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety, Kastriot Jashari, informed the delegation about the developments at the Academy and at the same time spoke about the projects and trainings that are held at the Academy, about the projects carried out that are related to the field of public safety.

 

Also, during the meeting, Jashari emphasized the cooperation that the Academy has with the United States of America and various European countries. 

 

 

On this occasion, director Jashari expressed his willingness to continue cooperation with the US in the field of public safety.

 


Even the Acting General Director of the Emergency Management Agency (EMA), Shefki Abdullahu, during the discussions about the provision of training and certification of emergency medical nurses, expressed his readiness for cooperation.  



At the end of the visit, the delegation expressed their readiness for cooperation with the Academy. 


The delegation from the US Army Southern Balkans Military Civilian Support Element was composed of Charles Gough, Team Leader of the Military Civilian Support Element (MCSE), Benjamin Ambroggio, Sergeant, Eric Stanley, Sergeant, and Mitchell Harrison, also a Team Sergeant. Medical Civilian Military Support Element (MCSE).
