A delegation from the German army have visited the Academy

Vushtrri, 29.07.2014 - Today,  Kosovo Academy for Public Safety has been  visited by a delegation of the army of the Federal Republic of Germany led by Brigadier General Schnittker, the Commander of military units that operate within and abroad Germany and Head of Advisors in KSF, he was accompanied by Deputy Director of the Department for Public Order and Security in the OSCE mission in Kosovo, Carsten Tweilmeier. The German delegation was hosted by the Director General of the Academy, Mr. Ismail Smakiqi and collaborators. The attendees were informed about the scope of the Academy, including all periods since its establishment until today, by pointing particular emphasis on recent developments concerning the establishment of the Faculty of Public Safety. The delegation was also interested for KAPS cooperation with the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) and the Federal Republic of Germany. On this occasion, the delegation was informed regarding the cooperation that KAPS has with KSF, contribution and cooperation with various institutions from Germany and the willingness of KAPS to be regional center in South-Eastern Europe in the field of Public Safety education.At the end of the visit, the delegation from the German army at KAPS expressed best impressions as an authentic institution in the field of public safety education. While Mr. Smakiqi and his collaborators pleasantly thanked them for all contribution  that international community have given to KAPS, including KFOR, German state and other institutions and organizations.
day, Mr. Ismail Smakiqi, Director of Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS), hosted a meeting with the cadets of Military Academy from United States (USA) and the cadets of Kosovo Security Force (KSF). The purpose of the visit was to get familiarized more closely with activities and trainings that are taking place in the Academy.
 Director Mr. Smakiqi during the meeting has informed the cadets about the Academy’s background. Also, the cadets were informed about the important processes that our institution is going through.
 Mr. Smakiqi during the meeting thanked the U.S. for continued assistance to Kosovo and highly praised their contribution that they have done on building the security institutions and particularly for the Academy.
 He said that the U.S. cooperation and assistance is necessary for our country, whereas expressed hope that the cooperation with the U.S. would continue even further.
While military cadets from the United States were interested about trainings and activities that are taking place in the Academy. They also showed their interest about cooperation between the KAPS and other Military and Police Academies.
