The Academy held the the Mini-Olympic games for persons with disabilities
Director of Training and Program Support, Kastriot Jashari, assessed that the Mini-Olympics is one of the most important activities that take place in the Academy.
He said that the Academy is always ready to support and help every citizen of the Republic of Kosovo. "Self organization of the mini-Olympics, shows the importance of inclusion and providing equal opportunities for every member of our society," said Jashari.
While President of Pre -Olympic Committee Njomza Emini said that through organizing the mini-Olympics with traditional character, we are sending clear message to the international institutions of sport that in Kosovo there are young people in community with special needs belonging to the world wide sport activites, and officialy want to be a part of athletes of the world, to contribute in construction in more peaceful and better world.
I feel the weight, privilege and responsibility in this long awaited moment which is unique to each of us, to experience the pride, joy and goodness that gives us the organizing of the mini-Olympics for children and youth with disabilities, "said Emini.
At the the Academy during two days in a row at the mini-Olympics, people with disabilities have been developed various sports activities like running on wheelchair, basketball, handball, darts, etc.
Mini-Olympics "Kosovo 2014" is organized by the Pre-Olympic of Kosovo and OPFAKOS "parent and child", and is supported by the OSCE and Academy.
This committee along with other institutions hosts for the twelfth time in row the mini-Olympics, which has already become traditional and is held each year
