Information officials from Police of the region visited Academy

Vushtri December 5, 2013 - Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS) today was visited by a delegation of information officials from Police Media Office of region countries from Albania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Kosovo. The delegation met with the General Director of the Academy, Ismail Smakiqi and representatives of public safety agencies in KAPS. The purpose of this visit is a more closely information with the mission, activities that are taking place in the Academy.
Smakiqi briefed the delegation on the meeting with important tasks and processes that the Academy is going through. In particular, he spoke about the Twinning Project, a very important project for the Academy, which aims to increase and improve the quality of education for all members of public safety in the country.

He spoke in front of the officials about the priorities and objectives of the Academy in the future. While speaking about the work of information, Smakiqi said that information officials have a very important role for the institution where through them in a transparent way is reflected the entire work of the institution to the public opinion. Unlike the information delegation composed by information officials are taking part in the regional conference which has to do with public information and the security sector. The conference is organized by the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) respectively Department for Security and Public Safety.
