Within the year 2012 in KAPS were trained over 4660 public safety members

Vushtrri, January 16, 2013 - Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS), which is the highest institution for the training of public safety in the country, during 2012 over 4660 members of the public safety are trained.  Likewise in KAPS were also delivered many other activities related to safety in the country. Within the last year, 281 trainings were held by all public safety agencies, Kosovo Police (PK), Emergency Management Agency (EMA), the Kosovo Correctional Service (KCS), Kosovo Customs (KC), Kosovo Police Inspectorate etc.  KAPS during all times has provided high quality professional training with international standards. Specific contribution to the realization of these training and capacity building of the KAPS have made two key partners such as the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and (ICITAP).
Besides participants from Kosovo, at the Academy were also trained members of the public safety of the other countries as Croatia, Bosnia, Albania, Macedonia and Montenegro.
Besides trainings, in KAPS were carried out many other activities such as Mini-Olympiad for disabled persons, international competition in table tennis. The seminar “Sport for Youth", two-day camp for teenagers etc.  As a result of its environment and resources, KAPS has become the primary location of the training for a wide range of public safety and a branch of training implementation.
KAPS vision is to prepare and train law enforcement officers to maintain order and security for all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo.
