At the Academy was held regular board meeting

15.07.2021Vushtrri, 15 July 2021 –  At the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety, today the members of the Board of the Academy held regular meeting where the topic of discussion was the course of training and the process of re-accreditation of the program of the Faculty of Public Safety.

The General Director of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety, Arton Berisha, greeting the board members, said that the course of trainings and developments of other activities is going according to the plan of the Academy.

After the approval of the minutes of the last board meeting, Director Berisha reflects all the activities and achievements of the Academy from January 2020 until now.

At the beginning of the meeting the board members proposed and elected their new chairman Samedin Mehmeti who is the General Director of Kosovo Police.

Mehmeti after being elected chairman thanked the members of the board of the Academy and expressed his readiness for cooperation.

The most important topic during the meeting was the reporting on the re-accreditation process of the bachelor program of the Faculty of Public Safety, where the board members were informed about this process by the Dean of the Faculty Bejtush Gashi. Gashi said that so far positive comments have been given about re-accreditation.

During the meeting was also discussed the setting of quotas for student enrollment in the Faculty of Public Safety for the academic year 2021/22.
Board members were also informed about the approval of the professional standards for professional training by the Steering Council of the National Qualifications Authority and the process of reviewing the training plan of KAPS for 2021.

 Members of the Board of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety during the meeting assessed that the Academy is an example of good organization not only in the region but also abroad. They said that so far excellent work has been done at the Academy.

The participants were also greeted by the Director of the Department for Order and Security of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo Erward Anderson, who encouraged the members of the board and the staff of the Academy for the discussions and the work done..

The meeting was attended by the General Director of the Academy Arton Berisha, the General Director of the Kosovo Police Samedin Mehmeti, the Deputy General Director of the Kosovo Probation Service Metije Ademi, the Chief Executive of the Kosovo Police Inspectorate Kushtrim Hodaj, the General Director of Kosovo Customs Agron Llugaliu, Acting Director General of the Kosovo Correctional Service Rasim Selmani, Director General of the Emergency Management Agency Fadil Kodra, Director of the Department for Order and Security of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo Erward Anderson and senior officials of relevant institutions.
