A delegation from the Municipal Police of the Municipality of Ulcinj, Montenegro, visited the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety

Vushtrri, December 5, 2024 - During the period 2 - 5 December 2024, a number of seven officers from the Municipal Police of the Municipality of Ulcinj (MPMU), Montenegro, led by Director Amir Mehmeti, stayed at KAPS, respectively in Kosovo, where they had the opportunity to gain new professional knowledge and experience as well as to take a closer look at the work processes and responsibilities of law enforcement officers in the Republic of Kosovo.

 

At the welcoming meeting, the Director of the MPMU Amir Mehmeti and his staff were welcomed to the Academy by Kastriot Jashari, Acting Director General of the Academy, with associates. Mehmeti was informed by the Academy’s host team about the role and responsibilities of this institution, being the only public institution in Kosovo that provides training and higher education for all law enforcement officers, as well as about the 25-year journey of the Academy. Meanwhile, the Director of the MPMU Mehmeti took the opportunity to thank Director Jashari and the Academy for providing this opportunity to gain new experiences and knowledge for the needs of the MPMU.

 

Both sides agreed to intensify cooperation in the future and find common interests.

 

During their stay in Kosovo, the staff of the MPMU had the opportunity and participated in several activities of a presentation and practical nature organized by KAPS and in cooperation with its stakeholders, respectively with law enforcement institutions in Kosovo.

 

At the end of the activities, on behalf of the Academy, Director Jashari distributed certificates of participation.
