Utah Valley University (USA) delegation visited the Academy

Vushtrri, May 11, 2022 –  Acting Director General of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS) Mr. Kastriot Jashari, today met with a group of students from Utah Valley University of the United States of America (USA) who were accompanied by Chris Lindquist professor at this University.

Present at the meeting were also the Dean of the Faculty of Public Safety Mr. Bejtush Gashi and the senior management of the Academy.

The purpose of the visit of the delegation in question was to be informed more closely about the work at the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety.

Acting Director General of the Academy Mr. Kastriot Jashari welcomed the delegation, then   informed them about the developments at the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety. 

During this meeting, Mr. Jashari spoke about the trainings held at the Academy where all law enforcement officers participate, about the projects implemented by the Academy, projects that have to do with the field of public safety. Also during the meeting, the topic of discussion was the international cooperation that the Academy has with the United States of America and with various European countries.

Informing the delegation about the projects it intends to implement in the future, Mr. Jashari expressed his readiness for the cooperation, with the Utah Valley University of the United States of America, to continue.

“In the framework of international cooperation, the Academy has gained good experiences and as a result of this cooperation, the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety has managed to get international accreditation, such as the one from the International Association of Directors of Standards and Law Enforcement Training (IADLEST) from the United States of America. Cooperation with US security institutions has been and is welcome and necessary for the Academy", said Mr. Jashari.

The delegation from the Utah Valley University of the United States of America was also greeted by the Dean of the Faculty of Public Safety Mr. Bejtush Gashi. Dean Mr. Gashi informed the delegation about the projects that are intended to be achieved in the future at the Faculty of Public Safety, such as the opening of the Master Program, etc.

Dean Gashi also expressed his readiness for future cooperation in the field of public safety education.

While, Chris Lindquist professor at Utah Valley University from the United States of America, highly appreciating the work that has been done so far, he said that the Academy has made progress in the realization of its projects.

The delegation in question also expressed its readiness for future cooperation with the Academy.

During the meeting the interest of the students of Utah Valley University was related to the trainings and other developments in the Academy.

At the end, the delegation accompanied by the senior management of the Academy visited the campus of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety.
