At KCPSED within the year 2010 were trained over 5563 members of the public safety
Vushtrri, January 21, 2011 - At the Kosovo Center for Public Safety, Education and Development (KCPSED), which is the highest institution for training of public safety members, during the year 2010 has completed lots of trainings and visits. Only witihin the year 2010 have been trained over 5563 members of public safety. 310 training sessions were held by four public safety agencies such as the Kosovo police (KP), Emergency Management Agency (AME), Correctional Service (KCS) and the Customs Service (DK).
During the past year, the Center has been providing high quality training professional with international standards in basic specialized training, advanced and leadership for all public safety agencies in Kosovo. Special contribution to the implementation of these training and capacity building of the center have also provided two key partners such as the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and ICITAP. In addition to participants from Kosovo, the Centre also trained members of the security of neighboring states such as Albania, Macedonia and Montenegro. Besides training, which where held for members of public safety, in KCPSED were are also developed other activities such as Miniolimpiada for persons with disabilities, small tenis (ping-pong) international competitions, training of observers and the Commissioners of the Central Election Commission, etc.
As a result of resources and its environment, KCPSED has become the primary training site for a wide range of public safety and enforcement branch training.
Kosovo Center for Public Safety Education and Development as an executive agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is an institution that provides technical, administrative and educational for all public safety agencies.
The vision of the center is in future to prepare and enable employees to maintain order and security for all citizens of Rep. of Kosovo.
