The Croatian Minister of Interior Mr. Tomislav Karamarko visited the Kosovo Centre for Public Safety Education and Development
Vushtrri, 7th October 2009 - Following his agenda of meetings in Kosovo, the Croatian Minister of the Interior, Mr. Tomislav Karamarko, in Wednesday at 15 00 visited Kosovo Center for Public Safety Education and Development (KCPSED) in Vushtrri. He met the acting Executive Chief of the KCPSED Ms. Taibe Canollli.
The purpose of the visit was familiarization with the concept, training and functioning of the Kosovo Center for Public Safety Education and Development
On the meeting, led by Ms. Canolli, present were Commissioner of the Correctional Service of Kosova, Mr. Resmi Hoxha, assistant of General Director of Police for Personnel and Training, Mr. Riza Shillova, counsellor at the Ministry of Interior, Ms. Luanda Domi, representative of the Kosovo Customs, Mr. Bekim Mehmetaj, manager of the Center for Training and Education of DEM, Mr. Rrahman Sefedini and high officials from KCPSED.
During the meeting Ms. Canolli presented the work, activities and the concept of KCPSED. She acknowledged minister Karamarko for the visit and continued support of Kosova from the state and the Government of Croatia, especially the contribution through the experts in building of training capacities of Kosovo Center for Public Safety Education and Development, which assisted in design and implementation of various training projects. The progress achieved in the Public Safety Center can be dedicated also to international partners, apropos the experts from Croatia which gave great contribution in training of members of the Public Safety Agencies, said Ms. Canolli.
Whereas, minister Karamarko explaining the purpose of the visit and good relation between two countries, the Republic of Kosova and the Republic of Croatia, said that during the visit I want to express a mosaic of security in the level of cooperation not only with the European states, but as well as with the states of the region, said Mr. Karamarko, emphasizing that the cooperation with Center for Public Safety Education and Development for training of police officers can be continued in the future. If you need the instructors from Croatia, or vice versa, we are ready for cooperation said among the others Mr. Karamarko. He didnt forget to mention the contribution of the Albanians in liberation war of Croatia.
After the meeting, the delegation accompanied by Ms. Canolli and management staff of Center for Public Safety visited the KCPSED buildings to be familiarized with the infrastructure and some of the equipment for training of officials of the Public Safety Agencies.
