Kosovo Academy for Public Safety is riaccredited by IADLEST with the Award of Excellency
Vushtrri, November 20, 2024 - The Kosovo Academy for Public
Safety (AKSP) is re-accredited by the International Association of Directors of
Law Enforcement Standards and Training (IADLEST) of the United States of
America (USA) in the institutional field. The Academy has once again confirmed
the high applied level of institutional standards through the acceptance of the
Award of Excellence.
KAPS after the initial phase for re-accreditation, started the application
process in December 2023. The uploading of documentation to the platform
provided by IADLEST was completed at the end of March 2024, with which
preparations for the field inspection phase by the assessment team of IADLEST.
The fact-gathering and inspection visit was made on November 18 to 19, 2024 at
the Academy. The evaluation team of experts composed of Mark Damitio,
accreditation manager at IADLEST and Steve Bennett, accreditation experts,
conducted a series of meetings in coordination with Emin Uka, Head of the
Quality Assurance Division, Accreditation Manager at KAPS.
Under the leadership and management of Kastriot Jashari, Deputy General
Director of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety, meetings were held with the
management staff, leaders, trainers and cadets in AKSP, verifying the
compatibility of policies, processes and the applicability of standards within
AKSP- of.
This recognition confirms the fact that the Academy remains a leader in
fulfilling its mission and vision as one of the institutions with the
applicability of the best institutional practices in the region and beyond.
