Director Jashari met the General Director of Kosovo Customs, Agron Llugaliu

Vushtrri, September 30, 2024 - The acting General Director of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS), Kastriot Jashari, received the General Director of Kosovo Customs, Agron Llugaliu, accompanied by his colleagues, in a working meeting today. The purpose of this visit and working meeting was to discuss and coordinate the work processes for the preparations for the start of the professional training of the new generation of cadets for Kosovo Customs, which is planned to start soon within this year.

This working visit is also in harmony with the bilateral inter-institutional agreement between KAPS and Kosovo Customs reached in September 2023, which aims to achieve common strategic objectives in the field of training and increase quality in the development of capacities in the field of public safety.

The General Director of Kosovo Customs informed the attendees that after a long pause, we have successfully completed the process of recruiting new staff who, after completing professional training at KAPS, will join us to serve at Kosovo Customs. 

The acting General Director of the Academy, Kastriot Jashari, expressed his satisfaction that in KAPS, during this year and next year, the new generations of cadets of Kosovo Customs will be trained. Director Jashari further added that the training of law enforcement officials of the Republic of Kosovo, such as Kosovo Customs, is our legal obligation and we look forward to their graduation according to the highest standards achieved through local and international accreditations.

At the end, the directors of both institutions exchanged mutual thanks for the excellent inter-institutional cooperation and emphasized the importance of continuing this cooperation in the unreserved support of internal capacity building.
