A panel discussion was held at the Academy on the topic "New World Order and National Security"
Vushtrri, May 7, 2024- At the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS), a roundtable discussion was held today on the topic "New world order and national security", where the security situation in the country was discussed.
This roundtable was organized by the Association of Pensioners of /TMKKSF and Sympathizers "ELITA" within the framework of the safety week.
The acting General Director of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safey Kastriot Jashari, speaking about the security situation, said that it is very important to debate about the challenges faced by public safety institutions. He said that the security situation is a big challenge for the whole globe.
Jashari appreciated that every discussion that takes place can contribute to finding the factors that can affect the overall security of the country.
"The academy is always ready to support such events that have a special importance for the security of the country in general", said director Jashari.
Representatives of the association in question, Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kosovo Shemsi Syla, officials from safety institutions and civil society in the Republic of Kosovo participated in this roundtable.
Deputy Minister Syla highly appreciated the organization of this roundtable, in his speech the topic was "Comprehensive defense as a combined concept of the XXI century", which he said means that in a state of war or emergency, all the functions of society, such as military as well as civilians, are involved in defense efforts.
Deputy Minister Syla spoke about the pillars of total protection, explaining them in detail separately, such as: military protection, civil protection, economic protection, social protection, digital protection and psychological protection.
Skender Agaj, External Relations Official at the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety spoke about the role and mission of KAPS, informing the attendees that the Academy is responsible for providing training, higher education and research in the field of public safety for safety institutions in the country.
During this roundtable, Agaj informed the attendees about the local and international cooperation that the Academy has with the safety institutions inside and outside the country.
Also, during this roundtable, topics such as the Serbian attack in Banjska Mitrovica, National Security in the light of the Ukraine-Russia conflict, etc. were discussed.
Safety Week is now a traditional activity organized by the Association of Pensioners of TMK/KSF in Kosovo, where several activities take place in several cities of the country.
