Director Jashari hosted at the meeting a delegation from the North Carolina Academy of Law
Vushtrri, 24 October 2023 - A delegation from Academy of Law from the North Carolina, the United States of America (USA), led by the director of this academy, Trevor Allen, today visited the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS).
The delegation from the USA was hosted by the Deputy General Director of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety, Kastriot Jashari. The meeting discussed cooperation and mutual partnership between KAPS and the Academy of Law from North Carolina.
During the meeting, the parties highly appreciated the relations with the United States of America, emphasizing the support it has given and continues to give to the institutions of Kosovo, in particular the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety.
The Deputy General Director of AKSP, Kastriot Jashari, informed the delegation about the role and mandate of the Academy. During this meeting, Jashari mentioned the achievements that have been made at the Academy, at the same time he also talked about the challenges that await him in the future in the field of public safety.
Director Jashari showed his interest in cooperation with the North Carolina Academy of Law, specifically cooperation for training in the field of public safety.
While the delegation from the North Carolina Academy of Law from the USA expressed great interest and laid out a series of questions.
The above mention delegation also expressed their interest in beginning of cooperation in the areas that are of most interest to both sides.
Edward Anderson, Director of the Department for Public Order and Security at the OSCE, during his speech, praised the Academy's achievements. Anderson said the great work being done at both academies, the North Carolina Academy of Law and the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety, is extraordinary.
Otherwise, the visit of the delegation from the North Carolina Academy of Law was supported by the Organization for Security and European Cooperation with its mission in Kosovo.
