The "Management of emergency situations" training started at the Academy, officials from different countries of the world are participating
Vushtrri, 09 October 2023 – Twenty-one public security officials from more than ten different countries of the world, today at the Kosovo Academy for Public Security (AKSP), started the "Management of emergency situations" training. The purpose of this training is to discuss and exchange experiences on international security challenges.
The Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, the deputy of the General Director of the Kosovo Academy for Public Security, Kastriot Jashari and the ambassador of the Diplomatic Academy of Kosovo, Beqir Ismaili, participated in the opening of this training.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Kosovo, Xhelal Sveçla, said that such trainings are a good opportunity for the exchange of different experiences and practices in the field of public security.
Minister Sveçla expressed his willingness and commitment to contribute to the improvement of security, the creation of peace and stability at the global level for all citizens without distinction.
“The Government of Kosovo is focused on fighting terrorism, corruption and any criminal activity that affects the security of citizens", said Minister Sveçla.
Mentioning the many actions that the Kosovo Police together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs have destroyed many criminal groups, including the latest case of September 24, Minister Sveçla said that all these are evidence that prove that Kosovo is a state that creates security for the country and the region.
“As a new state, we are ready to contribute to stability and sustainable peace in the region and beyond", said Sveçla.
Ambassador of the Diplomatic Academy of Kosovo, Beqir Ismaili, welcoming the participants in the training, appreciate that such trainings are a good opportunity for the exchange of experiences between the participating countries. Ambassador Ismaili spoke to the participants about the mission of the Diplomatic Academy in Kosovo.
The deputy of the General Director of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety, Kastriot Jashari, said that this training is very important for the Academy.
Jashari said that the Academy, as always, will continue to provide training not only for public security officials in the country, but also internationally. "The academy will support any training that is in the interest of public security officials, for the creation and maintenance of peace in the country", said Jashari.
The training "Management of emergency situations" was organized by the Diplomatic Academy of Kosovo in cooperation with the Academy of Kosovo for Public Security.
In this training, which will last two weeks are participating the Public security officials from Madagascar, Mauritania, Sao Tome, Tuvalu, Senegal, Niger, Saudi Arabia, Eswatini, Sierra Leone, Bangladesh, Honduras, Malawi, Ivory Coast. , Gambia and Liberia.
