The 58th generation of cadets of the Kosovo Police graduated
Vushtrri, July 14, 2023 – After the completion of the training for police officers, held at the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety, 417 cadets of the 58th generation of the Kosovo Police graduated today.
The recent graduates, among whom are 47 women, ceremonially took their oath to serve the country and all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo without distinction.
The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, wishing the new graduates success in their work, said that graduating from the police academy is no small achievement. Osmani said that this requires discipline, perseverance and a determined desire to uphold the principles of justice, security and the rule of law.
"Your actions will create public perception, while your commitment to order and law will determine the legitimacy of our law enforcement institutions", said Osmani, expressing her happiness that among the new graduates there is a large number of women.
"The more women in the safety institutions, the more security for all our citizens, without distinction. Of course, as long as today's number is to be admired, we must all work together to increase even more the number of girls and women, but also of non-majority communities in our police", said President Osmani.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, also wished the young police officers success in their work. Prime Minister Kurti said that the Kosovo Police continues to be one of the most reliable institutions for our citizens.
"It continues to successfully implement the constitutional mission to protect the life and property of citizens, maintain order and public peace, prevent and detect crime, protect human rights and freedoms, and treat all citizens equally without difference in ethnicity, religion, gender or age", said Prime Minister Kurti.
Prime Minister Kurti said that the government that he leads is committed to an uncompromising fight against corruption, to fight against any kind of organized crime, to preserve the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our republic. "Our police, for these two years, has been maximally engaged in the realization of these common priorities", said Prime Minister Kurti.
