The training "Awareness with dangerous substances" was completed at the Academy

Vushtrri, May 17. 2023- At the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS), a large number of officials from public safety agencies in Kosovo today completed the Hazmat training "Awareness with dangerous materials". 

The achievement of this training was aimed at training public safety officials, how to protect people's lives, property and the environment, in case of an incident involving hazardous materials. 

The Acting General Director of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety, Kastriot Jashari, the deputy commander of the Command, Doctrine and Training of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF), Ilir Shyti, and other officials of the agencies participated in the ceremony of the completion of this training. of public safety in the country. 

The Acting General Director of the Academy, Kastriot Jashari, assessed that within the many trainings and activities that are held at the Academy, the training "Awareness of dangerous substances" is very important for all public safety officials in the country. 

Jashari, after thanking the instructors of the Kosovo Security Force who lectured in this training, said that the Academy will continue to carry out its mission by providing training and higher education for all law enforcers in Kosovo. 

During the ceremony, director Jashari also spoke about other trainings that are currently being held at the Academy, such as basic training for Kosovo Police cadets, Kosovo Correctional Service cadets, etc.

The participants in this training have gained knowledge on the use of protective equipment, on the detection of the presence of dangerous substances and on protective techniques against dangerous substances. 

The Deputy Commander of the Command, Doctrine and Training of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF), Ilir Shyti, said that this training was aimed at training the members for operations against dangerous substances. Shyti said that during this training, different techniques and procedures for responding to situations with dangerous substances were implemented.

Officials from the Kosovo Police, the Kosovo Correctional Service, the Emergency Management Agency and officials from the Kosovo Customs have participated in this training. 

At the end, during the certification ceremony of the participants in this training, the Acting General Director of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety, Kastriot Jashari, thanked the instructors of the Kosovo Security Force who lectured in this training.
