The Academy has been accepted as a voting member of FRANCOPOL
Vushtrri, September 11, 2019 - The Francophone International Police Training Network (FRANCOPOL) has accepted the Kosovo Academy of Public Safety (KAPS) as a voting member.
Membership in FRANCOPOL enables staff of member organizations to contribute to the development of police practices by interacting with international colleagues, in particular through information and communication technology.
Members of this network can participate in activities, in technical committees, access the online collaboration platform called FRANCOPOL Information and Knowledge Interface (CFIS) and submit requests for collaboration on a specific topic of interest to all members.
KAPS's efforts to be a member of this network date back to the end of July 2018, where our institution has been instructed and supported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of the Republic of Kosovo to apply to become a member of
Apart from the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS), members of the Francophone International Police Training Network (FRANCOPOL) are also 38 institutions or organizations in 11 countries around the world: Benin, Belgium, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Canada, Spain, France, Luxembourg, Monaco and Switzerland. Otherwise, the Republic of Kosovo is already a member of the International Organization of Francophonie, which currently has 61 member states and governments and 27 observers.
