Graduated 38th -generation of the Kosovo Police

Vushtrri, 24 July 2009 – After a 3-months modified training today at the Center for the Public Safety, Education and Development, graduated 38th -generation of new police officers. This generation numbers 80 police officers in total.

The graduation ceremony attended Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Zenun Pajaziti, chief of staff of the Office of Prime Minister of Kosovo, Mr. Bekim Çollaku, Director of Pristina International Airport, Mr.Agron Mustafa, Acting Chief Executive of the Center for Public Safety, Education and Development, Miss. Taibe Canolli, Police General Director, Mr. Sheremet Ahmeti, KFOR,  KSF representatives,  senior officials from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Kosovo Police, Kosovo Correctional Service, Department of Emergency Management, and the family of graduates
Interior Minister, Mr. Zenun Pjaziti congratulated the new police officers for graduation, stressing that police have been and will remain still the most important institutions in maintaining order in the country. "Kosovo police managed to become the most successful police organizations in the region, thanks to dedication, commitment and cooperation with international institutions." At the end Minister Pajaziti said that "Kosovo police is on the eve of 10th anniversary and will mark this day with many achievements. It is said that 'zero tolerance' against organized crime will be the motto of the Kosovo Police.

Police General Director, Sheremet Ahmeti, estimated that education and training play an important role in the formation of the professional police. "The institutions of law enforcement must always represent the community and expressing his free will, understanding that the system of government that we are building does not give absolute power to any person, institution or group of people, so we have to take care as the main defender of this system that has built our country, not let anybody to be above the law", - said Kosovo Police Director, Mr. Sheremet Ahmeti.

Whereas, spokesman of the 38th -generation, Besar Maloku, said that they will try "to protect the rights of all citizens, regardless of ethnicity, race, gender, implementing exactly the Republic of Kosovo Laws".
After the distribution of diplomas, captains of the classes handed over the flags, which symbolized academic achievements, discipline, and achievement in all fields during three months training.
