A delegation from the Albanian Academy of Safety visited KAPS

Vushtrri, January 17, 2017  –  A delegation from the Academy of Safety in Albania headed by Artan Shkembi director of the Department of Planning, Control at this Academy, it is on a two-day official visit at the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS). The delegation was hosted by the General Director of the Academy Ismail Smakiqi, Dean of the Faculty of Safety Bejtush Gashi and senior management.

The purpose of this visit by the delegation is the recognition of the education model in the field of Safety at the Faculty of Safety in the Academy and discussions about the reforms and goals for the future.

Director of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety Ismail Smakiqi informed the delegation on the developments and important processes of the Academy, on the functioning of the Faculty of Safety, twinning   project   IPA II -   funded by the European Union. 

Director Smakiqi also spoke about the continued cooperation between the two Safety Academies, that of Kosovo and Albania in the field of training for members of public safety.


Smakiqi  notifying  the delegation for international cooperation that the Academy has, said that the exchange of experiences between the two academies is indispensable and welcomed.
“Our cooperation is with the Albanian Academy of Safety and will continue further", said Smakiqi.


While the delegation from the Albanian Academy of Safety during the visit were mainly interested in the methods that the Academy has for the training and education of members of public safety. Artan Shkembi Director of the Department of Planning, Control of this Academy expressed his satisfaction for the visit, praised that the Kosovo Academy is a good example for the education and training of safety members.

"We are at a stage of reform and for this we have chosen your Academy to get experience. You have an academy formed by European standards and the exchange of experiences is very important", said Shkembi. Meanwhile, Dean of the Faculty of Public Safety, Bejtush Gashi during the meeting informed the representatives of the safety institutions from Albania about the study program at the Faculty.


Gashi also spoke about the willingness of cooperation between teachers and students. He said that mutual cooperation is more than indispensable for the promotion of academic and professional values.
