German KFOR visited the Academy

Vushtrri, October 06, 2016 - A delegation of German KFOR led by Captain Stefan Niethman, today visited the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety, who were welcomed by Mr. Shpend Shabani the Director of the Department for Strategic Planning and Legal Affairs, Mr. Driton Zabergja Lieutenant Colonel and by the Senior Management of the Academy.

During the meeting, the Director Shabani informed the KFOR delegation on developments in the Academy, mostly focusing on officials’ professional trainings of public safety officials and on higher education too.


The delegation was informed about the Academy background, about the Twinning Project that aims to strengthen education in the field of security and international cooperation.
 

Director Shabani also spoke about the cooperation of KAPS with KFOR, as well as with various institutions of the Federal Republic of Germany, as it is the German Police University in Münster.
 

 
Whereas, German KFOR expressed their interest regarding the training of security members, and in particular the Kosovo Police for their preparations in a case of riots.

 
At the end, the delegation visited the additional facilities; where through presentations by instructors were informed about the practical part, where the members of public safety are developing their trainings.
