Graduated 41 generation of the Kosovo Police

Vushtrri, 16 July ’10 - At the Center for Public Safety, Education and Development (KCPSED) today graduated 41 generation of Kosovo Police (PK).  This generation counts 75 members, who during 12 weeks of modified training they where trained according to design curricula based on international standards for human rights and rule of law.
During the graduation ceremony took part the high officials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the General Director of the Kosovo Police, Behar Selimi, the mayor of Vushtrri, Bajram Mulaku, Chief Executive of KCPSED, Sheremet Ahmeti, Director of Police Training School in Nazili- Turkey, Ahmet Pala, Lieutenant-Colonel Driton Zabërxha and representatives from OSCE.
On this occasion the leaders of the Kosovo Police promise that will be pledged to guarantee law and order throughout the territory of Kosovo.
General Director of Kosovo Police, Behar Selimi, by welcoming the participants on behalf of Interior Minister, Bajram Rexhepi, he expressed hope that all members of the police will perform they duty with dignity and full commitment.
"Your chosen occupation is a noble profession, because you are those who would defend the country and establish order and rule in Kosovo. Your generation and other generations will protect the values of all Kosovo citizens regardless of religion, ethnicity, race or gender; it was said to graduates by Mr.Selimi.
While CEO of the Center for Public Safety, Education and Development, Mr.Sheremet Ahmeti said that the officers who are graduating today will be an important factor in maintaining security, law and order in the Republic of Kosovo, you will protect rights and freedoms of all citizens regardless of nationality, race, ethnicity, religion, region, etc..
The objective of our training has been and is that the Police of the Republic of Kosovo to work based on the fundamental values of the democratic human civilization, legality, non-discrimination, freedom, equality, professionalism, collaboration with the community, effectiveness on the job and respect of other democratic values regarding the protection of every citizen of the Republic of Kosovo.
Mr. Ahmeti said that the motto of the Center for the Public Safety, Education and Development is the: knowledge, cognition and professionalism for members of the Kosovo Police.
Spokesman of the 41 generation Miss. Ruke Dobraj said that from today, to the great and holy family of law enforcement, joined a new generation who will have our full support for the moral responsibility, professional and we shall perform all duties with honour regarding to the law of the Republic of Kosovo.

After the distribution of diplomas, class captains handover flags which symbolize academic achievement, discipline and achievement in all areas over three months of training. These flags were given to the Director of the Directorate for mandatory training, Lieutenant-Colonel Driton Zabërgja.
