Mr. Smakiqi hosted a meeting for a delegation from United States of America

Vushtrri, 29 January 2014 – The General Director of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety, Mr. Ismail Smakiqi hosted a meeting for a delegation from United States of America, led by Mr. Ross Loder, Head of the Office of program services at the Iowa Department for Public Safety.

Mr. Smakiqi during this meeting informed a delegation about the priorities, the organizational structure and for the significant projects at the Academy. Also, he spoke about Twinning Project, a European Commission project that has to do with the improved education in the sector of public safety and security in the country.
Mr. Smakiqi high appreciated the continuous support that the United States gave to the Republic of Kosovo, particularly for the Academy, emphasizing that this cooperation will be expanded further on increasing professionally members of the public safety. 
The representative of Kosovo Police in KAPS, the Lieutenant Colonel Driton Zabergja, thanked the USA for its contribution which they have given and continuing to give on the training for Kosovo Police members.
While Mr. Ross Loder, Head of the Office of program services at the Iowa Department for Public Safety, expressed willingness of strengthening the cooperation in the future too in progress of the Academy functions.
At the end of the meeting, they had visited the other buildings of the Academy and one of the classrooms where the learning took place.
