Director Jashari met with a delegation from the International Bureau of Narcotics and Law Enforcement
Vushtrri, April 11, 2024- The Acting Director General of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS) Kastriot Jashari received today in a meeting Ellen Alegranti, Foreign Affairs Officer for Kosovo and Albania, from the International Bureau of Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL), Department of American State, the Eastern Patrice, Program Advisor for Correctional Service and Law Enforcement and Diellza Azemin, Administrative Assistant from the International Bureau of Narcotics and Law Enforcement.
The purpose of the visit was to learn more about the role and responsibilities of the Academy as a training and higher education institution for law enforcers in the Republic of Kosovo, about the achievements and challenges of the Academy.
The Acting Director General of KAPS Kastriot Jashari, during the introductory speech, informed the delegation about the work, challenges and achievements of the Academy, expressed his unreserved thanks for the continuous support of the USA for Kosovo, and that through INL, the Embassy of the USA in Kosovo, ICITAP has continuously offered help and support to the Academy in the professional development of members of public safety, as well as for their willingness to provide assistance to the Academy in the future as well.
Without the contribution of the USA, with special emphasis on ICITAP, it would not be possible to think of the development of the Academy up to this stage, or a high level of achievement of international standards.
Jashari assured the attendees that the Academy's mission and vision will continue to maintain high standards of training and higher education for all public safety officials.
During this visit, the delegation had the opportunity to visit one of the Professional Training classes for Correctional Officers of the 44th generation as well as the KAPS campus with accompanying facilities.
