Kosovo Academy for Public Safety signs cooperation agreement with Academy of Justice
Prishtinë, 26 February 2020 – General Director of Kosovo Academy for Public Safety Ismail Smakiqi and Director Academy of Justice Enver Fejzullahu today signed a cooperation agreement between the two institutions.
The purpose of the agreement is cooperation on the implementation of training in the field of justice and safety.
Director of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety, Ismail Smakiqi said that signing an agreement with the Academy of Justice is very important for the Academy and law enforcement.
On this occasion, Director Smakiqi informed the Director of the Academy of Justice, Enver Fejzullah, about the cooperation agreements that KAPS has with the local and international institutions dealing with the field of safety.
Smakiqi said that the Academy is ready to liaise with any institution that deals with safety aimed at advancing law enforcement. Highly praising the signing of the agreement, Director Smakiqi said that its benefits are; training, courses, seminars, exchange programs, joint curricula, scientific research and other experiences necessary for the Academy.
“The Academy has so far signed many cooperation agreements; however the signing of this agreement is of particular importance. With the signing of this agreement we are even closer to exchanging experiences between the two institutions hearsay. For KAPS this cooperation is a great honour”, said Director Smakiqi.
Director of the Academy of Justice, Enver Fejzullahu, also highly praised the signing of the cooperation agreement with the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety. During the meeting it was said that the signing of the agreement opens paths for cooperation in the field of training aimed at advancing all those involved in the field of justice and safety.
Fejzullahu said that such an agreement should have happened earlier, while I consider that this co-operation is necessary.
Otherwise, with the signing of the cooperation agreement, the Institutions stated their support for mutual benefits, and their willingness to contribute to enhancing educational, research and development links between the two institutions.
Points of cooperation between the two Institutions included; Development and coordination of education in the field of law enforcement at the level of vocational education and continuing vocational education; Research links, exchange of information and results, research staff visits and research funding offers from the European Union and other international agencies in the fields of internal security and law enforcement; Exchange and visits of personnel for advice and coordination of standards in educational , pedagogical and administrative matters; Exchange of experiences, ideas about training programs and study programs in the field of public safety and law enforcement etc.
