The Speaker of Parliament of the Republic of Kosovo Kadri Veseli visited the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety
Vushtrri, 21 August 2019 - The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, Kadri Veseli, today visited the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS), he was hosted by the Director General of the Academy Ismail Smakiqi, Dean of the Faculty of Public Safety Bejtush Gashi , the directors of the Academy departments and the heads of the Kosovo Police training department at the Academy.
Director Smakiqi informed the Speaker of Parliament Mr.Veseli to the current situation in the Academy, which is being developed vocational training for new police officers, attended by 416 cadets of the Kosovo Police. He also added that during 2019, 17 cadets of the Kosovo Police Inspectorate and 119 cadets of the Kosovo Correctional Service have completed vocational training at the Academy, as well as director Smakiqi stated that at the Faculty of Public Safety are attending 240 students.
Director Smakiqi briefed Veseli on the international accreditation that the Academy received from the International Association of Directors of Standards and Law Enforcement Training (IADLEST) of the United States in May 2018, after nearly a year of evaluation by the team. experts of this Association. All Vocational Programs are accredited to the National Qualifications Authority, while the Study Program is accredited and Re-accredited by the Kosovo Accreditation Agency, Smakiqi concluded.
