Acting Executive Chief, Ms. Taibe Canoll, took part in the Association of European Police Colleges meeting

Vushtrri, February 22, ’10. - On the 1 and 2 of February 2010, a. Executive Chief of KCPSED, Ms. T. Canolli, took part in regular meeting of the Association of European Police Colleges (AEPC). The host of the meeting was a Swiss Police Institution which organized this meeting in Neuchâtel, Swiss.

Mr. Maurice Petit, Director of the Belgian Police College, presided over the meeting. The subject of the meeting was the cooperation between the countries of the West Balkans and CEPOL and European Neighboring Politics (ENP). Other subjects of debate were the cooperation with the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights and Belgian Conference on leadership and cooperation with CEPOL. A part of the discussions was organization the following meetings of this association and annual catalogue of courses organized by the members of the association.

Participants of this meeting of the Association of European Police Colleges was the high level managers of police educational and training institutions from Azerbaijan, Belgium, France, Georgia, Germany, Kosovo, Montenegro, United Kingdom, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Swiss and Turkey. 

In this meeting Ms. Canolli took the commitment for further cooperation in activities to be held in Turkey, Georgia and Spain. Police colleges from Europe will present the catalogue of courses they held and the KCPSED will be one of the contributors for the designing of this catalogue, adding its courses on it.

The Association of European Police Colleges (AEPC) was founded in 1995 by police colleges from Germany, Holland and United Kingdom. Today this association has 42 members – police colleges from all over Europe, and it is a platform for intensifying of the cooperation and enabling the new possibilities in the field of police training and education, especially for senior police officers.
