General of NATO- Stefan Linus Fix director of Liason and Advisory Team visited Academy

Vushtrri, 05 October  2015 – General Director of Kosovo Academy for Public  Safety (KAPS),  Mr Ismalj Smakiqi, today hosted a delegation by Liason and Advisory Team of NATO- headed by director, General Stefan Linus Fix, Director of Department for Public Order and Security in OSCE, Karl ake Roghe and the chief of Investigation Unit for Organised Crime in EULEX, Alan Edwards.  In the honour of this visit it was organised the parade of 53- generation of the Kosovo Police cadets.
General Director of the Academy, Mr Ismajl Smakiqi informed the delegation in question about, the activity of the Academy, including all the periods since from the establishment until now. Mr Smakiqi mentioned or emphasized the recent developments  related to the establishment of the Faculty for Public Safety and lately with beginning of the second twinning project as well. On this occassion, delegation has been informed about the cooperation of the KAPS- with all security institutions whether they are local or international as well.
While the Director of the Liason and Advisory Team of the NATO- general Stefan Linus Fix, speaking in front of the cadets lined up, he said that purpose of his visit in the Academy was to recognize closely the work and activities that take place here. “You play an important role to maintain or provide order and security in your state’’, said Mr Fix in front of the cadets.
General Fix, congratulated Academy about the achievements in the field of  training and education of the members of public safety in the country.

Delegation in question express their interest for several issues related with trainings in the Academy.
Meanwhile, director of the Department for Order and Security in OSCE, Karl ake Roghe, during the meeting said that Kosovo Academy for Public Safety ( KAPS) is one of the best institutions for trainings in the field of security. After the inaguration of the Faculty for Public Safety, Roghe said that Academy made progress as well in the future to apply for master level.
Delegation expressed the best impressions for Academy as an authentic instiution in the field of eduaction for public security. Mr Smakiqi thanked international community about the assistance given to the KAPS-, including KFOR-, German state and other institutions and organizations as well.
