- Today at KAPS, a workshop was held to finalize the draft training plan of
KAPS for 2025. Participants in this workshop were respective senior officials
of stakeholders and external partners within the country, respectively representatives
from KAPS, Kosovo Police, Correctional Service of Kosovo, the Emergency
Management Agency, Kosovo Customs and from the OSCE Mission in Kosovo.
In the workshop, among other things, the implementation of the training plan for the current year 2024 was discussed, for the challenges, for the results achieved as well as for the training needs for all public safety institutions (PSI) in the Republic of Kosovo for the following year. During the presentation of PSI requirements summarized according to training needs for 2025, on behalf of KAPS, Mr. Shaban Bajrami emphasized that numerous requests have been submitted for holding different types of training, but based on the high priority needs for PSI, priority will be given first to professional trainings for KP, KCS, KC and EMA, and will continue further with holding trainings of other types and levels, including those with support from international partners and mechanisms such as: OSCE Mission in Kosovo, ICITAP, USFS from the USA, etc..
