At the Academy was held regular board meeting

Vushtrri, July 01, 2022 – At the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (AKSP) the regular meeting of the board was held today, where they discussed the latest developments at the Academy. 

During the meeting, the members of the board were informed about the beginning of the professional training of new cadets of the Kosovo Police and the Kosovo Correctional Service (KCS). 

In continuation of the meeting, the board members discussed the determination of quotas for public safety institutions in basic bachelor studies for the academic year 2022/23 in the Faculty of Public Safety at the Academy.

The Acting General Director of the Academy Kastriot Jashari informed the members of the board about the work progress as well as about the trainings and activities that are being held at the Academy.  

Jashari said that the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety has made all the preparations for the start of the training of the new generation of the Kosovo Police and of the Kosovo Correctional Service, which has already started.

The item on the agenda was also the announcement about the dynamics of the work and activities of the working group for the drafting of the relevant documents for the opening of the master's program in public safety at the Faculty of Public Safety. 

Furthermore, the members of the board, among other things, were also informed about the new progress of the Academy's accreditation by local and international institutions.. 

This meeting was attended by the Acting General Director of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety Kastriot Jashari, the Dean of the Faculty of Safety Bejtush Gashi, the General Director of the Kosovo Police Samedin Mehmeti at same time the chairman of the board, the Acting State Prosecutor Besim Kelmendi, General Director of the Emergency Management Agency Fadil Kodra, Acting General Director of the Kosovo Correctional Service Sami Gashi, Acting General Director of the Kosovo Probation Service Arsim Tahiri, Head of the Complaints Management Department at the Police Inspectorate of Kosovo Bajram Fetahu, head of the Department in the Directorate of Law Enforcement in Kosovo Customs Driton Azemi, director of the Department for Public Order and Security in the OSCE mission in Kosovo Edward Anderson as well as senior officials of the Academy.
