Jeffry Treistman prof. from the University of New Haven of USA visited the Academy

General Director of Kosovo Academy for Public Safety Ismail Smakiqi, together with  the Dean of the Faculty of Public Safety  Nexhat Jashari  hosted in the meeting Jeffry Treistman prof. from the University of New Haven of the USA, who was accompanied by officials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The purpose of this meeting was the cooperation between New Haven University of the United States of America and the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety, as well as the possibility of signing the cooperation agreement. 

General Director of the Academy Ismail Smakiqi during this meeting stressed his willingness to cooperate closely with New Haven University, by exchanging academic experiences to push forward the best quality processes for the benefit of the functioning of the Faculty of Public Safety within the Academy.

 Director Smakiqi during this meeting also spoke about the background of the Academy, International cooperation, International Accreditation of the Academy by the International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training of the United States of America (IADLEST),as well as the progress achieved in the education and training of the officials of security institutions. 

While Dean of the Faculty of Public Safety Nexhat Jashari expressed his conviction that cooperation with New Haven University is very necessary and welcomed in capacity building, exchange of experiences and professors, as well as the need for co-operation for starting post-graduate education.

From his part Jeffry Treistman porf. from the University of New Haven expressed optimism that together they will  cooperate closely for the benefit of the functioning of the Faculty of Public Safety. "We believe we will have good cooperation with councils within the faculties, and with management in order to create a high-level educational environment, "said Treistman.

At the end they visited other premises within the Academy where they were briefed by instructors with practical work which officials of security institutions do.
