A delegation from Växjö Municipality of Sweden visited the Academy

Vushtrri, 04 October 2018 - A delegation from the Municipality of Vaxjo of Sweden today visited Kosovo Academy for Public Safety, accompanied by officials of the Municipality of Vushtrri.

The delegation was hosted by the Director of the Department of Training and Program Support Kastriot Jashari, the Head of the Foreign Relations Division Avni Istrefi and the senior management of the Academy.

Director Jashari during this meeting made a presentation of the scope of activities of the Academy, informing the delegation on the history, the phases that KAPS has passed   since its establishment so far. He also spoke about providing trainings for public safety agencies from basic to specialized ones.

Director Jashari during this meeting also spoke about the international cooperation that the Academy has, for membership in important organizations such as INTERPA, CEPOL, International Academy Accreditation by the International Association of Standards Directors and the United States Law Enforcement Training (IADLEST), as well as the twinning project of the European Commission aimed at further strengthening of education in the field of security.

While the delegation from the Municipality of Växjö of Sweden was interested in providing trainings for security agencies, the cooperation of the Academy with the Municipality of Vushtrri, as well as the cooperation between the two municipalities of Vushtrri  and Vaxjo and two Kosovo and Swedish Academies.

At the end, the delegation visited the Academy and other premises within,  where the instructors briefed on the practical part of the training.
