Graduated the 40 Generation of the Kosovo Police

Vushtrri, 10th of April '10 - After a 12-week of modified training at the Center for Public Safety, Education and Development (QKSPZH) today has graduated the 40 generation of Kosovo Police new officers. This generation numbers 80 members who were trained with the program designed according to international standards for human rights and rule of law.

At the graduation ceremony presents were Minister of Internal Affairs (MIA), Mr. Bajram Rexhepi, Deputy Director of the Kosovo Police Service (KP), Atifete Jahjaga, Acting Chief Executive KCPSED it, Taibe Canolli and representatives of the OSCE and KFOR

Participants in the ceremony have estimated very highly the performance of the Kosovo Police requesting them to serve equally for all citizens of the country, without distinction.

Internal Affairs Minister, Mr. Bajram Rexhepi said that Kosovo police remains a reliable institution for the citizens of the country is so under his responsibility even greater.

"In the wake of increasing the capacities and commitments in accordance with the obligations arising from the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, the legislation in force and priorities of the Government of Kosovo, Kosovo police reform continues developing its strategic development plan, organizational restructuring, reallocation of resources, the new wage system that no doubt will impact on improving the performance of the Kosovo Police Service, raising efficiency and effectiveness at work, "said Interior Minister z.Rexhepi.
Minister Rexhepi said that the Rule of Law and Public Safety are among the basic preconditions for economic and social development of our country.

Minister Mr. Rexhepi during the ceremony by speaking on behalf of the Government has expressed its commitment to implement zero tolerance anti-crime platform.

We have the political will but also the necessary institutional mechanisms to strengthen the rule of law in the country," said Mr. Rexhepi.
Meanwhile, deputy director of the Kosovo Police Atifete Jahjaga during her speech showed her hope that many generations are qualified to perform their work according to rules.
"Kosovo police will continue to be professional in their work," said Jahjaga.
Meanwhile, spokesman of class 40 - told police that "will give our maximum commitment, to protect the rights of the citizens, regardless of their ethnicity, race or gender based and strictly enforce the laws of the Republic of Kosovo.


After the distribution of diplomas, class captains who handed flags to symbolize academic achievement, discipline and achievement in all areas over the 3 months of training. These flags were handed the Director of the Directorate for mandatory training, Lieutenant-Colonel Driton Zabërgja.
