A KFOR delegation with a mission in Kosovo has visited the Academy
Vushtrri, August 28, 2018- Today, a KFOR delegation in Kosovo headed by Lieutenant Colonel Antonello Catalano has visited the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety, who were welcomed by General Director of the Academy Mr.Ismail Smakiqi, Dean of the Faculty of Security Mr. Nexhat Jashari, Resident Counselor of the Twinning Project Ms. Ritva Vähäkoski and the senior management of the Academy.
During this meeting, Director Smakiqi informed the KFOR delegation on the developments at the Academy, focusing on the professional training of public security officers and higher education. The delegation was also briefed on the Academy's background on the Twinning Project which aims at further strengthening of education in the field of security as well as international co-operation.
Director Smakiqi also spoke about KAPS co-operation with KFOR, where he thanked for his contribution on training of the public security members. At the end he asked for this cooperation to continue even in the future.
While KFOR expressed their interest regarding the training of security members and in particular the Kosovo Police, emphasizing that this cooperation will continue in the future.
In the end, the delegation visited the accompanying facilities; where through presentations from the instructors were informed about the practical part where the members of the public safety develop the trainings.
