The Academy is accredited by IADLEST
Vushtrri, 16 May 2018 - The Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS) has gained the International Accreditation by the International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training - IADLEST ).
After more than two years of work, working groups from the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety, Public Safety Agencies and Twinning Project Experts from Finland and Estonia, the National Qualifications Authority on April 26, 2018 accredited the Academy of Kosovo for Public Safety and has validated Professional Programs: New Police Officer, PIK Inspector, Customs Officer, Correctional Officer and Probation Officer. Firefighters qualification decision will be taken in the month of August 2018.
While on April 30th; 1, 2 and 3 May 2018, in the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety have remained the Team of Assessment Experts from the highly-known Association (IADLEST), in the evaluation process and with the aim of international accreditation of the Academy.
The Academy, on May 03, 2018, has widely announced the public on its Web site for the visit of the Team of Valuation Experts from the International Association of Standards Directors and Law Enforcement Training of the United States of America (International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standardsand Training - IADLEST) in fact-finding visit, for the international accreditation process of the Academy. http://www.aksp-ks.net
International Accreditation of Academy by IADLEST is funded and supported by the International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (ICITAP) of the United States Department of Justice - Program for Kosovo
Yesterday, on May 14, 2018, the Academy received the letter from Mr. Michael N. Becar, Executive Director of IADLEST, with whom he announces Academy Accreditation by IADLEST.
