The Board of the Academy held its last meeting for this year
Vushtrri, 11 December, 2017 - The Board of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS) today held its last meeting for this year, where was discussed about the developments that have taken place during this year at the Academy as well as the trainings and other activities to be carried out during 2018.
In the meeting present were Director General of the Academy Mr.Ismail Smakiqi, Director General of Kosovo Probation Service Mr.Bajram Bujupi, who is also a chairman of the Board of the Academy, Director General of Kosovo Police Mr. Shpend Maxhuni, Chief Executive of Police Inspectorate of Kosovo Mr. Hilmi Mehmeti, Director General of Kosovo Customs Mr. Bahri Berisha, Mr. Burim Buleshkaj, the representative from Kosovo Correctional Service, Mrs. Kimberly Riffe, ICITAP representative, Mrs. Drita Pereziç, ICITAP Senior Advisor, Mrs. Ritva Vähäkoski, Resident Adviser of the Twinning Project as well as senior OSCE advisor Mrs. Shpresa Muharremi.
Director General of Kosovo Academy for Public Safety Mr.Ismail Smakiqi during the meeting spoke about the training plan for public safety agencies for 2018, as well as about the achievements that the Academy has recorded during 2017.
The Academy Board after the discussions approved the training project plan for 2018.
Director Smakiqi also informed the Board of KAPS on the developments and current situation of the Academy, which was also one of the items on the agenda.
On this occasion, Director Smakiqi has also spoken about the validation of vocational curriculum and accreditation of Academy institution.
"The curricula have been completed according to professional standards and we hope that in March 2018, will be the time of validation and accreditation of the professional programs of the Academy’ said Smakiqi.
At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the Board of Academy Mr. Bajram Bujupi welcomed the participants for the work done and congratulated Mr. Smakiqi and Academy staff for the successes achieved during 2017.
