The Kosovo Academy for Public Safety signed a cooperation agreement with the Faculty of Security in Skopje
Macedonia 27 November 2017 - The Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS) signed a cooperation agreement with the Faculty of Security of "St. Kliment Ohridski " Manstir, in Skopje, the purpose of which is to establish long-term and sustainable cooperation between the two institutions to support their strategic objectives in the fields of: higher education; exchange (mobility) of students, teachers and staff within the framework of the EU program; Erasmus + as well as Research and Development.
In the presence of electronic and written media of Macedonia and Kosovo, the signing of the agreement was made between General Director of KAPS Ismail Smakiqi and Dean of the Faculty of Security of "St. Kliment Ohridski "Manastir, Prof. dr. Nikola Dujovski. During the signing of the agreement there were also his splendor, Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo in Macedonia Ylber Hysa, Dean of the Faculty of Safety in KAPS Prof.Ass.Dr. Bejtush Gashi, Head of Foreign Relations Division, Avni Istrefi, deputy minister for Macedonian Police Training Goce Bačanov, vice rector Svetlana Nikolovska and vice dean of Finance Snežana Mojsoska.
Dean of the Faculty of Security of "St. Kliment Ohridski” Nikola Dujovski assessed as very important the signing of this agreement in a very good friendly spirit between the two institutions, the joint commitment to achieving the goals and building the institutional capacities. The agreement involves co-operation in various fields, including opportunities to develop joint research projects, within the Erasmus + exchange program, etc.
While General Director of Kosovo Academy for Public Safety Ismail Smakiqi stressed that both institutions are part of various international security associations where, as he said, the two institutions have very close co-operation. "The Faculty of Security in Skopje celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, and on this occasion I congratulate the dean for their anniversary and for such a great achievement," said Smakiqi , saying that the agreement would simultaneously be a push for realization of common goals and interests in the area of education and research in public safety.
In signing of agreement the present also welcomed His Excellency Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo in Macedonia, Ylber Hysa, who congratulate the Security Faculty in Skopje on their 40 anniversary and said that he was pleased to sign the agreement of cooperation between two institutions. "This agreement expresses the readiness of our institutions for European integration as well as cooperation in the fields of law enforcement education," said Ambassador Hysa.
In this ceremony of signing the cooperation agreements, salutatory speech held the vice rector of "St. Kliment Ohridski " Manastir of Skopje Svetlana Nikolovska and deputy minister for Macedonian Police Training Goce Bačanov.
