Tracy Whittington visited the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety

Vushtrri, 18 September 2017- General Director of Kosovo Academy for Public Safety Ismail Smakiqi welcomed today the newly appointed director of Kosovo Office for International Affairs of Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL), Tracy Whittington accompanied by Drita Pereziç Senior Adviser of the Executive Management of Ministry of Internal Affairs from ICITAP, Drita Pereziç.


During the visit Whittington was closely informed of the history and developments in KAPS, her achievements and challenges. During stay at the Academy, Whittington was also informed about the contributions and donations that the American Embassy gives to the Academy.

General Director of the Academy Ismail Smakiqi expressed his deep appreciation and gratitude for the entire contribution, support and assistance that the US has provided for KAPS since its foundation up to date. Whittington was pleased with the significant developments of the Academy. She said that KAPS will continue to receive support from the US, including INL.
 
After this meeting, the delegation visited the Firearms Simulation Training Equipment (FATS) donated by INL for KAPS in June of this year.
