Professors and students of the "Gjilani" College visited the Academy
Vushtrri, April 26, 2017 - Professors and students of "Gjilani" College today visited the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety, who were welcomed by the General Director of the Academy, Mr. Ismail Smakiqi, Dean of the Faculty of Security, Mr. Bejtush Gashi and senior management.
The purpose of the visit was to familiarise students with the mission, vision of the Academy as well as to plan the program that is being developed at the Faculty of Public Safety.

The General Director of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS) Ismail Smakiqi initially greeted the attendees and then briefed them about the background, trainings and all the activities that take place at the Academy.
Director Mr. Sakiqi in front the attendees presented the achievements of the Academy, international cooperation, professional development of security officers, trainings, education and priority of the Academy in the future.
While Mr. Rexhep Maliqi, Colonel at Kosovo Police, also a lecturer at "Gjilani" College, thanking the director Mr. Zbogic for hospitality, said that the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety can be considered as the pride of the country, as he said... from this Institution have emerged and continue to emerge members who provide security for Kosovo citizens.
"We have expressed our wish to visit the Academy and to familiarize students more closely
with the mission and vision of the Academy, to be notified about the program being developed at the Faculty of Public Safety," said Mr. Malqi.
While Dean of the Faculty of Public Safety, Mr. Bejtush Gashi informed the students about the program of the Faculty of Security.
"The faculty currently operates in four profiles and this education meets the requirements of the security sector that in the future we expect to have the army, respectively the Kosovo Security Force, for the fact that in every crisis and situation the law enforcement are responsible for reacting Towards a situation that is created, "said Mr. Gashi, saying that the faculty of Public Safety is expected to offer very soon master studies.
While prof. dr. Besim Halimi said that the work and professionalism of the Academy is being noticed, because public security officials, namely Kosovo Police are doing their job in a professional manner.
"This is confirmed by the local and international polls that rank Kosovo Police as one of the most reliable institutions in the country," said Halimi.
During this visit, students express their interest in training and education of members of public safety at the Academy. They shared satisfaction. Students were satisfied with the visit and highly praised the work that the Academy has done in training the members of public safety.
In addition, students also visited the Academy's infrastructure, which was also welcomed by the rest of the professional staff, who provided practical knowledge for the professional services offered by KAPS.
