Director General Ismail Smakiqi hosted the Director of the Diplomatic Academy Beqir Ismaili
Vushtrri, February 7, 2017 - General Director of the Diplomatic Academy in Kosovo, Ambassador Beqir Ismaili, accompanied by a senior training and development official Enis Xhemajli, today visited Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS), they were welcomed by the Director General Ismail Smakiqi , Dean of the Faculty of Public Safety Bejtush Gashi and senior management of the Academy.
Ambassador Ismaili visited the Academy in order to be familiarized closely with developments in the Academy.
Director General of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety, Ismail Smakiqi thanked the ambassador for the visit and also considered the visit as very important.
During the meeting, the director Smakiqi informed the delegation of the Diplomatic Academy for the activities in the Academy, including all periods since its establishment until today.
Smakiqi with particular emphasis spoke on the latest developments in the Academy as training and other activities related to security and about the opening of the Faculty of Public Security.
The delegation was also informed for the beginning of the second twinning project. On this occasion, the delegation was informed on the cooperation, the Academy has with all security institutions, both local and international, as well as its membership in associations and organizations in the field of education in public safety.
Director Smakiqi expressed his willingness for cooperation between the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety and the Diplomatic Academy.
Meanwhile, Director General of the Kosovo Diplomatic Academy, Beqir Ismaili, expressing his pleasure for visiting the academy, said that in KAPS was done a wonderful job.
"The purpose of the visit is to become familiar more closely and to review the possibility of cooperation between the Academy for Public Safety and the Diplomatic Academy," said Ismaili.
The Ambassador Bekqir Ismaili further added that the Academy for Public Safety has a very important role in Kosovo.
"The Academy is the heart of Kosovo, since it has a great responsibility for the country, the safety of our children depends on them, state security, security of our borders, so police are the mirror of the country," said Ismaili, saying that more cooperation and sharing experiences we have, success is much greater. In the end both parties expressed their willingness for mutual cooperation.
