It was held the regular meeting of the Steering Committee of the Twinning project
Vushtrri, 09 December 2016 - Today in Kosovo Academy for Public Safety was held a regular meeting of the steering committee of the twinning project of the European Commission.
The meeting was attended by Director General of the Academy Ismail Smakiqi, Krista Hak Head of the twinning project of state members, project experts, Edis Agani from the EU office in Kosovo Shpresa Muharremi from the OSCE, representatives of safety agencies as well as senior officials of KAPS.
At the opening of the meeting Director Smakiqi initially welcomed the participants, informing them about the progress of activities which are developed and at the same time thanking them for their commitment to achieving results towards joint mission to strengthen education for law enforcement.
Smakiqi also spoke about the continuation of studies in the Faculty of Safety at the Academy, on the self-evaluation report for re-accreditation of the study program and institutional accreditation of the Academy. He at this meeting of the steering committee of the twinning project spoke about the feasibility report for master program expressing the vision of KAPS that in the near future to offer also and postgraduate studies.
Smakiqi at this meeting also informed the participants about many important activities which has developed the Academy during the year and about numerous international and local meetings and for support given to KAPS on mission accomplishment.
While Krista Hak Head of the twinning project from a Member State said that the twinning project is going as it is foreseen on the agenda, and the results achieved so far show a seriousness of joint work including all stakeholders in this project.
Also, Ritva Vahakosski a resident project advisor from members state presented the performance report for the last quarter of 2016, where are presented the achievements and results of the twinning project.
At this meeting evaluations and comments were made by the representatives of safety agencies who evaluated as very successful work done so far.
