Workshop on “Review the Implementation of the Development Strategy and Action Plan and Finalization of the Annual Training Plan

Vushtrri, October 18, 2016 - Today in Prizren it started the workshop on "Review the Implementation of the Development Strategy and Action Plan and Finalization of the Annual Training Plan" for the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety. In this workshop there are participaing General Director of the Academy Ismail Smakiqi, Dean of the Faculty of Public Safety Bejtush Gashi, Kastriot Gashi from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Drita Perezic from ICITAP, Shpresa Muharremi from OSCE, the representatives from the public safety agencies as well as KAPS senior management.

Once again, the workshop on "Review the Implementation of the Development Strategy and Action Plan for 2016 and Finalization of the Annual Training Plan for 2017", important documents for the Academy and the agencies that develop training, is supported by the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).

In the opening of the workshop, Director Smakiqi welcomed the participants and stressed that the workshop on "Review of the implementation of the Development Strategy and Action Plan for 2016 and Finalization of an Annual Training Plan for 2017" is a very important event for comprehensive and as real and necessary as it is possible planning for public safety agencies. Smakiqi also thanked the OSCE for its continuous support for the public safety institutions, especially for the Academy.

"Training plan is a unique document of the involvement of all planned training in annual basis, through which is achieved an overview of the fields of training, duration of training, target groups and areas of training development," Smakiqi said.

Following his speech, Smakiqi said that "the purpose of this workshop is planning, organization and implementation of the training needs analysis for public safety agencies in capacity building and advancement of its officers through various trainings, as well as mapping the realization of the strategic objectives of the KAPS Development Strategy and Action Plan for the year we are leaving behind."

The workshop on "Reviewing the Implementation of the KAPS Development Strategy and Action Plan for 2016 and Finalization of the Annual Training Plan for 2017" is supported by the OSCE, continuous partner of the Academy, that is being held in Prizren and will last for four days from 18 - 21 of November 2016.
