Ambassador of Finland visited the Academy
Vushtrri, October 17, 2016 - Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS), today visited the Ambassador of Finland in Kosovo Anne Huhtamäki, she was hosted by the Director General Ismail Smakiqi and the senior management of KAPS.
At this meeting the director Smakiqi informed the Ambassador concerning history of the Academy, progress, important processes which passed the Academy and emphasize the twinning project of the European Commission implemented by Finland and Estonia, a project which helped the opening of the Faculty of Public Safety.
Director Smakiqi also spoke about the new twinning project which aims to "further support education in public safety in Kosovo".
Director Smakiqi on this occasion spoke about international cooperation of Academy with safety institutions from different European countries and about Academy membership in the Association of European Police Colleges (AEPC) and the International Association of Police Academies (INTERPA).
At the end director Smakiqi thanked the Ambassador Huhtamäki for visit, at the same time he expressed gratitude for what the State of Finland has given to Kosovo in particular for Academy.
While in her speech the Ambassador of Finland in Kosovo, Anne Huhtamäki, congratulated Director Smakiqi for the progress and developments in Academy. Ambassador Huhtamäki also expressed support for the Academy in the future.
In the end they visited the additional buildings of Academy.
