At the Academy has started the workshop for communities

Vushtrri, September 28, 2016- At the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety today has started “orientation for Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian community” in order  to increase their enrolment in  Kosovo Police ”.

At the opening of the workshop spoke Mr. Ake Roghe, the Head of security in the OSCE Department, who emphasized that during these two days they would stay in the Academy the participants will have the opportunity to be informed about the application and work in the Kosovo Police.

"You in the future will have very important role in the Kosovo Police," said Mr. Roghe to the attendees.

Even in the past and now too, the Police has an important and democratic role for the safety of citizens regardless on ethnic, religious or any other thing. 

Director General of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS) Mr. Ismail Smakiqi, during the opening of the workshop said, that such a workshop is very important and impacts on your information about Police.

Mr.Smakiqi said to attendees that in this workshop will learn how to find the best way to get involved in the Kosovo Police.

“The path to the Academy is not easy, it needs some work. Kosovo Police needs you, your community needs you, and your families’ needs you too, said Mr. Smakiqi.

By mentioning known names that are involved in the Kosovo Police who are promoted, Mr. Smakiqi said that in all societies exists achievement of ranking.

"This path is not easy, it needs responsibility of dealing with the security of your country," says Mr. Smakiqi mentioning that in Kosovo has ethnic and religious equality, etc. 

Mr. Smakiqi thanked the OSCE for continuously support to the Academy.

Colonel Taibe Canolli also thanked the OSCE for organizing this workshop, for their work and support offered to Kosovo Police since its establishment, on various projects impacting the strengthening of the police.

"It is very important that such a big number of you are interested to join the Kosovo Police. I believe that during these three days of your stay in Academy, you will be informed about the procedures of application for admission to the Kosovo Police, "said Mrs. Canolli.
