Participants of the conference "Security Smart Day Austrian-Kosovo 2016" visited the Academy

Vushtrri, Feb. 04.2016 - Academy for Public Safety today was visited by the participants of the conference " Security Smart Day Austrian-Kosovo  2016", led by Gunter Fehlinger leading Austrian-Kosovo Association.

Conference participants were welcomed by Director General Ismail Smakiqi, representatives from the Emergency Management Agency and the high management of the Academy.

Smakiqi director was initially welcomed in the Academy delegation then gave a presentation on the history, work and important developments of the Academy. In particular emphasis he spoke about the opening of the Faculty of Public Safety in the Academy for international cooperation and for the twinning project IPA II supported by the European Union which has to do with "Support of further education in public safety in Kosovo ".

As leader of the Association Gunter Fehlinger Austrian-Kosovo expressed readiness to cooperate in the future, especially for the Emergency Management Agency.

During the meeting, presentations were made by representatives of Austria and the Emergency Management Agency in Kosovo regarding the work and functioning of the emergency legislation.

Important topic of discussion at this meeting was the creation of voluntary groups for firefighters is very important for the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo.

At the end of the meeting thanked the Austrian state Smakiqi director for the continued support they have given and continue to give to Kosovo.
