In the Academy is voluntarily donated about 200 doses blood

Vushtrri, 12 November 2015 -At the Academy for Public Safety (KAPS), is being conducted voluntary  blood donation by the cadets of Kosovo Police,  from instructors of Public Safety Agencies and the staff of the Academy. At the Academy for Public Safety voluntary blood donation   has now become traditional action. 

The humanitarian action of blood donation was carried out in collaboration with the Health Service of Kosovo Police , Blood Transfusion of the University Clinical Center of Kosovo and the medical team of KAPS headed by Dr. Artan Bejta.

Responding to the request of the Blood Transfusion Centre and the great willingness to donate blood voluntarily, which started yesterday, is continuing even today. 

Medical personnel of the National Blood Transfusion and the Academy this action have appraised as one of the biggest action that has occurred so far.

Fadil Mahmuti, information manager at the National Blood Transfusion who is taking part in this action, said it is a one of the most successful actions so far. 

"Blood Transfusion Team even today is among the cadets of the Kosovo Police, personnel of the Academy where we organized an action for blood collection. Due to the numerous volunteers we are obliged the action continue today, as only yesterday we were not able to take blood from all those who are interested, "said Mahmuti. 

Great interest in voluntarily blood donation at the Academy, Mahmuti has appraised as a good example for other institutions, such as ministries, schools, universities and other organizations. 

"Considering the fact that the demand for blood is great, to cover needs in the University Clinical Center within 24 hours come over 150 requests for blood, we have emergency center where constantly has injuries from traffic accidents, accidents with bleeding where often need blood, "said Mahmuti, he also said that thanks to this action we have managed to supply with blood all those who need it. 

"Thanking the cadets of the Academy and its staff we have achieved, during last night and today, in the University Clinical Center to supply with blood all mothers, all children with different leukemia, with carcinoma etc. The blood is given to all those injured in traffic accidents that arrived in emergency during the night, I have to mention also the operations that have been planned in gynecology and surgery, "said Mahmuti. 

Mahmuti thanked the management of the Academy and medical personnel that respond so massive for blood donation and for the opportunity to organize this action.
