Academy signed a cooperation agreement with the Training Institute of the Prison Service and the Probation and Laurea University of Applied Sciences, Finland
Within the official visit to Finland, Director General of the Academy Ismail Smakiqi signed an agreement on mutual cooperation between the Academy for Public Safety (KAPS), Institute for Training Services of Prison and Probation (RSKK), and the Laurea University of Applied Sciences Finland.
The purpose of the agreement is to create long-term and sustainable cooperation between the three institutions to support their strategic objectives in the fields of training, higher education, research, development and public relations.
Among other things is worth noting that experts from RSKK and Laurea Finland, have been part of the story of the successful implementation of the twinning project, "Improving education in the sectors of public order and security in Kosovo" (SC 09 IB JH 01) , funded by the European Commission with 1.5 million euros and implemented during the 2012-2014 period by the member states Finland and Estonia where it resulted in the establishment of higher education in the field of public safety in KAPS.
Within the priorities also based on Development Strategy 2014-2018 of KAPS Academy for Public Safety has made a further step towards internationalization and international cooperation.
