Kosovo Academy for Public Safety donated 60 doses of blood

Vushtrri, 19 May 2015 – A large number of Kosovo Police cadets, instructors and other officials who are working at the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety voluntarily donated blood.

 The humanitarian action of blood donation was conducted in collaboration with the Kosovo Police Health Service, the Transfusion of Blood of the Kosovo University Clinical Center and the KAPS medical team.

During this one day action held at the Academy were donated over 60 doses of blood,  for the needs of Blood Transfusion Center.

Medical staff said that to the call for blood donation voluntarily have responded a large number of Public Safety Institutions’ members who are attending trainings and also the Academy’s staff.

Director General of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety Mr. Ismail Smakiqi during his visit to the medical staff, where the blood was collected, expressed satisfaction that the Academy has become a good example of blood donation. 

“Donating blood is a sacrifice and a great help for all those citizens who need blood” said Mr. Smakiqi.
