Director Smakiqi hosted the Swiss Commission of Chiefs of Police
Vushtrri, 04 March 2015- Academy for Public Safety (KAPS), was visited today by a delegation from the Swiss Commission of Chiefs of Police, headed by President of commission Jacques Antenen. In honor of the visit of the delegation in question, the Academy organized a morning parade with of 52 cadets of the Kosovo Police generation.
On this occasion the director of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety, Ismail Smakiqi appreciated this visit as very important for the Academy and its cadets. He said that these visits are motive for cadets that they will be the more successful in the completion of basic training.
Before attendees Smakiqi also spoke about the number
of public safety members who have completed training at the Academy
Smakiqi stated that Up to now have been trained over 12 thousand law enforcement officers from six Agencies of Public Safety, " while also mentioning that with the support of international partners, the Academy has achieved enough.
Smakiqi also stated that uninterrupted cooperation of Academy with International trainings Institutions and Agencies, achieved that the Academy to be internationally recognized, to become more reliable and very professional insitution in providing the trainings for Public Safety Agencies.
Director Smakiqi thanked the international partners
for the continued support that they are giving to the Academy and Kosovo in
General.
Meanwhile the president of the Swiss Commission of Chiefs of Police, Jacques Antenen, expressed his pleasure to visit to the Academy. He said that he is impressed with the achievements, discipline and regulations at the Academy. In his presention in front of of 52 cadets of the Kosovo Police generation stated that the police is the most important pillar of state and society.
Antenen while wishing the best success to cadets in their education
and their performance stated that. In Kosovo we have not been for the long
time, but those who deal with security have told us that the level of trust of
citizens in Kosovo Police is in very high level. This really is a good sign for
the future of this country. We see here that the people of Kosovo has many
right to believe in you.
Also the Lieutenant Colonel of Kosovo Police Academy, Driton Zabërxha thanked
the delegation for their visit to the Academy. Zabërxha in front of the
participants spoke about the success and achievements of the 52 generation of
Kosovo Police cadets who are completing basic training at the academy.
Otherwise the Swiss delegation during their questions expressed interest about recruitment procedures in Kosovo and the way how to be part of the Police and procedures about their advancement. Swiss delegation highly praised the Kosovo Academy of Public Safety in his highly advance. Swiss police chiefs promised full commitment to support the Academy.
