The Academy Board held its following meeting

Vushtrri, June 18, 2014 – Today, the Board of Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS), held its seventh following meeting where participated the General Director, Mr. Ismail Smakiqi; the General Director of Kosovo Police, Mr. Shpend Maxhuni; who at the same time is the chairman of the Board, the representatives of other public safety agencies as well as international cooperators from OSCE and ICITAP. During the meeting was reviewed the daily agenda as reporting on the development of the Academy’s accreditation process; plan for equal opportunity and the determination about the officials for public safety institutions how to conduct the studies.
Mr. Ismail Smakiqi, the Director of the Academy, at the meeting reported for the accreditation process. Analyzing the conditions that the Academy has and the provision of training which is according to European standards, the Director Smakiqi stated that the accreditation process will be successfully completed.  Smakiqi also stated about the next steps after accreditation.
While talking about equal opportunities plan the Director Smakiqi said that the creation of equal opportunities should be in all life areas, social, as well as in the public safety institutions.
While the Chairman of the Academy Board, Mr. Shpend Maxhuni, commended the staff for work done about accreditation. 
Regarding equality Mr. Maxhuni said that all institutions have achieved to create equal opportunities.  "I propose that equality go fifty-fifty, there are opportunities," 
Also during the meeting it was decided the way of continuing theoretical and practical learning for the officials of public safety institutions who will attend  studies in the Bachelor program in the field of public safety at the Academy.
